Thanks to Mae Fence's in-house manufacturing, we are able to create custom cedar, vinyl, and aluminum gates that are built to match your new fence.

Gates Designed to Match Your Fence

Mae Fence can design gates using the same material, style, height, spacing, and finish as the fence being installed. This creates a more consistent appearance across the fence line and entry point.

Aluminum U-Frame Gates

Standard aluminum gates can be upgraded with Mae Fence's U-frame construction. Both vertical sides and the bottom rail are welded together to create a reinforced U-shaped frame, providing additional strength and rigidity.

Wood Arbor Entries

Decorative arbors can be incorporated into any wood fence entry. Mae Fence offers four-foot-wide arbors with either two-post or four-post construction and a choice of traditional or crescent-top designs.

Reinforced Wood and Vinyl Gates

Standard wood and vinyl gates can be reinforced when additional support is appropriate for the gate's width, weight, or anticipated use. Some larger gates may require a steel support frame to help maintain alignment and provide greater structural support.

Oversized and Driveway Gates

Mae Fence considers gates wider than 10 feet to be oversized custom gates. These gates require additional planning for width, clearance, posts, hinges, framing, and site conditions. Depending on the design, a driveway gate may use a single leaf or a double-gate configuration.

Prepared for Future Automation

Mae Fence does not install gate operators, access controls, or automation systems. When automation is planned, however, we can fabricate the gate using the dimensions, clearances, loads, and mounting requirements supplied by your automation provider.

  • Mae Fence may be able to design a gate that closely complements a fence installed by another company. Because materials, dimensions, profiles, colors, and manufacturing processes vary, an exact match cannot be guaranteed. Our project specialist will inspect the existing fence and explain the closest available options.

  • Yes, mixing materials at the entry point is common. We have systems put in place to ensure an aluminum gate can effectively be installed with a cedar fence or vinyl fence without sacrificing quality. Please be sure to go over this with your specialist during the scheduled estimate so they can make sure everything is done correctly. 

  • A walk gate is typically four to five feet wide and designed primarily for foot traffic, while a driveway gate provides the width and clearance needed for vehicles. Driveway gates may use a single or double-gate configuration and generally require heavier posts, framing, hinges, and hardware.

  • Most custom gates will be installed with the rest of your fence project. However, some custom and oversized gates may be installed during a follow-up visit after the surrounding fence is completed. This allows our team to confirm the finished opening measurements and gives the gate posts time to set before supporting the additional weight. Your project specialist and our scheduling team will let you know if a separate gate-installation visit is recommended for your project.

  • Gate pricing depends on material, width, height, design, hardware, reinforcement, site conditions, and whether the gate must be prepared for future automation. A project specialist will evaluate the entry and provide detailed pricing during your free estimate.
