Cedar Fencing Manufactured by Mae Fence

Since 1927, the Mae family has built lasting relationships with trusted lumber mills, helping us source premium cedar for the fencing we manufacture in-house. This includes core-cut cedar posts made from the durable center portion of the tree for added strength and longevity.

By manufacturing the finished fencing ourselves, we maintain greater control over dimensions, board spacing, style, and construction quality. The same company that manufactures your fence also installs it and remains available if you need service afterward.

We manufacture it. We install it. We stand behind it.

What Does a Cedar Fence Cost in Ohio?

New cedar fence installations start at $2,500, with the average Mae Fence project costing approximately $5,500. Your final price will depend on factors such as fence style, height, linear footage, gates, site conditions, and removal of existing fencing. Mae Fence sources cedar directly from lumber mills and manufactures each fence in-house.

This allows us to maintain greater control over material selection, board dimensions, spacing, and construction quality while avoiding added supplier markups. During your free estimate, a Mae Fence project specialist will measure the proposed fence line, discuss your preferred style and gates, and provide detailed pricing for your specific project.

Caring for Your Cedar Fence

Cedar can be left unfinished and will naturally weather to a soft silver-gray over time. Staining or sealing is optional, but it can help preserve the wood’s original color and provide additional protection from sunlight and moisture. If you choose to stain your fence, the maintenance schedule will depend on the stain, wood surface, sun exposure, and weather conditions. Inspect the finish periodically and follow the stain manufacturer’s recommendations rather than relying on a fixed schedule. Routine care is simple: keep leaves and debris from collecting against the fence, address mildew or heavy dirt when it appears, and periodically inspect boards, posts, gates, and hardware for damage.

Note: Mae Fence does not currently offer staining services. Your project specialist may be able to provide general recommendations for maintaining your cedar fence.
